Mr White, propriétaire d'Owford Estate, avait un individu de cette espèce. Il était possible que ce soit un Anadorhynchus caerulens, nommé comme celà par Gmelin.
CitationJustification Jamaican Green-and-yellow Macaw Ara erythrocephala was described by Gosse in 1847 as occurring in the mountains of Trelawny and St Anne's, Jamaica, based on a bird "procured by Mr White, proprietor of the Oxford Estate". It was presumably hunted to extinction in the early 19th century. Taxonomy It is possible that this species was that apparently named as Anadorhynchus (sic.) caerulens by Gmelin (in which case this name would have priority). The original descriptions require re-evaluation.
